A referral service, stated plainly
Newcastle Concreters is a referral service. Enquiries are passed to an independent local concreter, who measures the job, quotes it in writing and carries out the work. This site does not employ concreters or carry out building work itself.
The quote you receive, the contract you sign, payment, and any warranty on the work are between you and the concreter. Before you accept a quote, ask to see their NSW contractor licence and insurance details. In New South Wales, residential building work above the licensing threshold must be done by a licensed contractor, and NSW Fair Trading's public register lets you check a licence in a minute.
What the site does
- Publishes guide rates per square metre for every service, so you can budget before anyone has your number. See the cost guide and the calculator.
- Publishes a specification, so quotes can be compared on what is under the surface.
- Explains the council side of a driveway in the Section 138 guide, checked against City of Newcastle and Lake Macquarie City Council sources.
- Passes your enquiry to a local concreter, who contacts you to arrange a site measure.
What is covered
Residential work around the home: concrete driveways, shed and garage slabs, paths, patios and alfresco areas, exposed aggregate and removal and replacement, across the suburbs listed here. Slabs for dwellings, pool shells and work for businesses are not referred.
What you will not find here
No review counts, awards or claims about how long anyone has been trading. The site earns trust the slower way, by showing its prices, its specification and its sources.
